GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION (GDPR)

Buckminster's procedures have been designed to comply with European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) rules.  The personal data that we collect may encompass two categories: personal identification and business-related information concerning third parties that are involved in our clients' projects. We use that data for the purpose of our projects as well as for purposes of compliance (KYC / Know Your Customer procedures).

Under GDPR rules, the firm commits to the following:

  • use personal data in a lawful, fair and transparent manner that respects the rights of all third parties concerned
  • limit data usage and minimise the quantity of data held: only data that is relevant and necessary shall be collected, as part of a legitimate and stated purpose, and it shall not be used for other purposes
  • as much as possible, ensure that data held is accurate and up-to-date (when necessary)
  • store data allowing personal identification for no longer than required to meet the purpose for which it is collected
  • secure data against accidental loss, damage and unlawful processing
  • be able to demonstrate compliance with GDPR rules.
